Background
As part of a broader, long-term retainer engagement a client asked Veracity to conduct high-level research in support of the relocation of its manufacturing from China to Eastern Europe.
-
Action
Veracity supported the client's internal market entry effort by comparing prospective locations on five broad criteria: political stability, ease of government relations, corruption risk, taxation and incentives, and operational issues. In addition, Veracity identified key government interlocutors and proposed preliminary engagement strategies for market entry in each jurisdiction.
-
Results
Veracity provided the client with valuable and neutral perspectives on local market conditions. As a result, Veracity's research helped the client to focus their efforts on the most promising locations and ultimately chose to relocate to two locations it previously had not considered.
